Peoples Income Tax Offers 50% Discount for Unemployed Workers - Extended Thru April 15th
Richmond, VA (April 2, 2010) – Peoples Income Tax is offering a 50% discount on tax preparation fees to taxpayers who lost their jobs during 2009 and are still unemployed at the time the tax services are provided. In the case of a joint tax return, the primary wage-earner must be unemployed to qualify for the discount. The Unemployment Discount may not be combined with any other discount offer and is available only for fees to prepare income tax returns and not for any other services.
The Unemployment Discount will be available at all Peoples Income Tax locations through April 15, 2010. "It’s just one small way we can help local employees who have lost their jobs due to the economic recession," said Chuck McCabe, President and CEO.
To qualify for this special discount, the client must document that he or she received unemployment compensation during 2009 and is still unemployed at the time the tax return is prepared by Peoples during the 2010 tax season. With the unemployment rate still so high, many individuals and families are struggling to make ends meet. So effective immediately, Peoples Income Tax will extend the 50% discount offer on tax preparation fees to individual taxpayers who lost their jobs during 2009 and are still unemployed at the time the tax services are provided. The Unemployment Discount will be available at all Peoples Income Tax locations through April 15, 2010.
